Front-End JavaScript Developer

Location: Central Bristol
Salary: Competitive - according to experience

We're recruiting for a Front-End JavaScript Developer to join our fast-growing software and infrastructure consultancy team based in central Bristol.

You will be working on versatile React-based web applications, where you will have the opportunity to expand your skill-set, work with the latest front-end tools and methodologies, and take a leading role in the company’s future.

You would be responsible for the following:

  • Requirement gathering, researching, conceiving and developing React-based web applications
  • Working either as part of a small development team or on your own
  • Leading improvements to the front-end tools and processes used by the team
  • Occasionally attending client meetings and liaising with account managers throughout projects
  • Identifying and resolving issues on projects

Required experience:

  • Commercial experience architecting and building React applications
  • Strong knowledge of front-end package management (NPM, Yarn), build/bundling tools (webpack), and ES6
  • Enthusiasm for all aspects of development and problem solving, and keen to learn and share knowledge
  • A highly driven working attitude and high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain issues clearly and simply, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working with data visualisation tools (D3) and geospatial data is desirable
